With the October delivery of an A-150 to Turkey, ABC now has airships operating in every continent (excluding only Antarctica). The map shows the other locations.
Our sister company, The Lightship Group, who has exclusive rights to the ABC airships for advertising and tourism, assembled, flight-tested and delivered the A-150 to KOC Holdings in Istanbul, Turkey. KOC Holdings is a diversified company, with substantial interests in the manufacture of automobiles and commercial vehicles, white goods and consumer electronics, as well as in financial services and retail groceries.
Two other "firsts" were recently accomplished by TLG. An A-150 was operated in Denver, Colorado, the "mile high city." And a few weeks later, another TLG-operated A-150 flew from Texas to Mexico City, operating there at over 8500 feet (2590 meters) while carrying a pilot and three passengers. It was the first time an airship had operated at either location.
At the end of October the ABC fleet, 16 airships now in service, had accumulated more than 75,000 flight hours.For additional information please contact:
